Jeremy,
For centuries, wolves roamed the snow-capped peaks and red-rock canyons of Colorado—in fact, wolves roamed much of the West. It was their stomping ground before it was ours. But over the past century, a critical voice in the wild has gone missing: the quintessential howl of the gray wolf.
Western Watersheds Project is proud to stand with the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project—an effort that will work to safely reestablish the gray wolves to Western Colorado, restoring balance to nature and returning the long lost voice to the wild—where it belongs.
We’re excited to be involved in this effort from Day 1. Take 90 seconds to watch the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project launch video and learn more about our joint efforts to get wolves back home to Colorado!
We’re setting our sights on Colorado because it’s the missing link in the historical range of the gray wolf – our goal is to reestablish them to the territory that we once shared with them.
One of the outstanding qualities of this project is its commitment to engage stakeholders—from organizations like ours to sportsmen, property owners and environmentalists across Colorado. This type of commitment: Communication with Coloradoans of all walks and mindsets is what will allow this effort to prevail.
Watch the Launch Video and learn how you can get involved with the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project.
Thank you.
